If you grew up racing your G.I. Joe figures across the living room floor, Super7 just gave you three more reasons to hit the Target action figure aisle. This latest round of exclusives has created quite a bit of buzz around the community, as both casual fans and die hard o-ring collectors look to add these unique takes to their 1:18 scale collections.
The latest wave of the ReAction+ line brings together some of the coolest, weirdest corners of the Joe universe: Ninja Force Cobra Commander, Ninja Force Snake Eyes, and Tiger Force Wild Bill. All three are Target exclusives, and all three lean hard into the deep-cut subline nostalgia that’s made this collector line such a hit.
Ninja Force was always one of the stranger left turns in G.I. Joe history, taking classic characters and dressing them up in full ninja gear. Super7 leans into that weirdness in the best way. Ninja Force Cobra Commander comes decked out in a bright blue ninja suit with a flowing cape, paired with a pair of curved blades. Meanwhile, Ninja Force Snake Eyes goes almost all black, armed with a menacing toothed saw-blade weapon that looks like it means business.
Set them up side by side on the shelf and you get an instant diorama: two ninjas squaring off, one in shadow, one in electric blue. The packaging matches the energy too, with bold, comic-style card art that captures the over-the-top tone of the original toy line.
On the other end of the spectrum is Tiger Force Wild Bill, rocking the yellow-and-brown tiger stripe deco that’s become a fan-favorite subline for Super7 to revisit. Wild Bill shows up in classic form: aviator shades, a neat mustache, olive cargo pants, and a gold belt buckle finishing off the look. The file card on the back keeps things authentic too, listing him as a helicopter pilot from Brady, Texas, just like the vintage toy line intended.
It’s a fun example of Super7 filling in gaps that never existed back in the ’80s and ’90s, giving collectors deco variants they never actually got as kids but always kind of wished for.
As noted earlier, these figures are rolling out on Target.com and can currently be found in some Target stores, though as with most exclusives, availability can vary by location. If you’re on the hunt, it’s worth checking your local store’s action figure section regularly, since Target exclusives tend to move fast once collectors catch wind of a new drop.
