N.U.K.E.S. is my homage to all things 90’s.
My career started in 1984 as a Graphic Designer for a children’s apparel company. I was hired to work on a new boys toy property called M.A.S.K. That was an amazingly fun property to work on and from that moment made me a lifelong fan of acronyms! N.U.K.E.S. is a concept that I’ve been kicking around in someway, shape, or form for nearly 10 yrs. It wasn’t until late 2024 when the entire concept finally solidified for me. What had started out as futuristic military soldiers changed to small super-deformed M.U.S.C.L.E. type figures to the final level up of 1/18th scale, retina burning neon dystopian warriors! I love the neon aesthetic of the 90’s toys. TMNT, Toxic Crusaders, even G.I. Joe got in on the “neon” act with Ninja Force & Star Brigade and THAT was the final piece of the puzzle that N.U.K.E.S. needed. Neon was the hook for my concept to be fully realized. Since late ’24 I’ve worked hard to solidify the concept, finalize the designs, get prototype digital files and 3D sculpts prepared and line-up the factory. I rolled them out to the world at Joelanta [Thanks Brett!] in Sept. 2025 and now, I’m hoping this Kickstarter will launch this fun and exciting IP into the hands of toy collectors everywhere!
Currently, all 6 figures digital production files have been created and are ready for the factory to begin tooling. When the campaign successfully funds we’ll already be in the starting blocks to get production rolling. Packaging is still in the concept stage but will be completed during the figure manufacturing steps.

The cylindrical C.O.R.E. [Control Operations Radioactive Enclosure] packaging will be made of a durable, clear plastic sleeve surrounding a decorated rigid cardboard with cutaway sections for viewing the figure. The cap and the base of the package will be made of solid plastic and will interlock with the cylindrical body similar to the packaging inspiration shown here. You can display your figures in or out of the container.

There is risk in every endeavor of this type. Production calendars. Manufacturing delays. Quality control. Shipping timelines. Nothing can be 100% perfect but what I can assure you is my involvement to keep everything as close to 100% on track as possible. We will be working to manage expectations and realities as the manufacturing process moves forward and we will be communicating with our backers every step of the way whether the news is
I absolutely LOVE the dystopian neon-90’s feel of this line and have already gone all in! Plus, you know me, I’m a sucker for 1:18 scale, so having something new and different appear in the range is not only welcomed, but a must have for me. There’s no olive drab here, folks!
