Things kicked off with a look at the SDCC exlusives, followed by an introduction to the new team behind the curtain, Designer Eric Sienbenaler and writer Mark D. Beazley. I wish them nothing but success on the road ahead!
G.I.Joe Classified Retro
The presentation ramped up toy-wise with a look at the 3 retro carded figures coming our way, Retro Falcon, Cobra Valkyrie and Flash. Pre-Orders will open on July 28th at 1pm EST.
G.I.JOE CLASSIFIED MAINLINE
FAN CHANNEL/AMAZON EXCLUSIVES
Next up came the Fan Channel and Amazon Classified Mad Marauders Footloose and Mutt with Junkyard set. We also got a look at the Amazon Exclusive Crimson S.N.A.K.E Armor. Both are set to drop July 28th at 1pm EST.
Speaking of preorders, Lara “Tomb Raider” Croft (I shared images of her earlier) is set to drop today at about 5pm EST. She’s a general release, so find her at your favorite retailer!
Moving on, we got to check out the Pulse Exclusive Sgt. Slaughter & Triple T Tank. This set goes up on August 12th beginning at 1pm EST, Another Pulse exclusive was shown, this time with an environment theme – The Cobra Arctic Troops 3-Pack. This set will follow Slaughter and go up on August 26th, starting at 1pm EST.
HALL OF FAME INDUCTION
Not sure why this didn’t happen ages ago, but Sgt. Slaughter was FINALLY inducted into the G.I.Joe Hall of Fame! Congrats, Sarge!
NAME ONLY REVEALS
The 2027 lineup took shape with a slew of name-only reveals:
- Hard Ball (Finally! Wonder if we’ll get a Mad Marauder version? Silly me, of course we will!)
- Daina from the Oktober Guard (with more guard to come as they’ll square off against the Iron Grenadiers!)
- Shipwreck (Turtleneck/modern look)
- Flatline (New Dreadnok)
- Cobra Heat Viper
- Ninja Force Snake-Eyes and Jinx 2-Pack
G.I.JOE ANIMATED MOVIE – 40TH ANNIVERSARY
Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the G.I.Joe animated movie. We can expect to see a retro carded collection of characters from the movie. Maybe we’ll see Golobulus, too. Time will tell.
RENDER REVEAL
The presentation ended with a bang, giving fans a look at the upcoming Classified Series Dreadnok Thunder Machine, coming in 2027! The vehicle will be made to order, so no worries on missing out as everyone will have a chance to get one. The vehicle will include no electronics and unfortunately, won’t include Thrasher, either. No worries, you’ll of course be able to buy one separately.
