Over the course of the last week or so, backers of the Operation: Recall project have been rejoicing, as wave one has been hitting mailboxes across the fandom. The first wave of offerings received includes – Breacher & Hellhound, General Mortifero, Mizmu Corps and Dark Reapers. Each figure is beautifully sculpted and packed (we’ll get into wave one in a later segment).
Carson is showing no signs of slowing down, as hot on the tail on the receipt of wave one comes a look at the Engineering Prototypes/Pilots from wave 2, including a look at some of offerings from Midnight Force! Check it out –
The year one wave two engineering pilots have been waiting patiently all week to be opened. Let’s open them together!
What I love about Operation: Recall is that it’s a grassroots, fan-driven movement celebrating the legacy of classic G.I. Joe while pushing for a return to the iconic O-ring era that defined the brand for generations. Fueled by nostalgia and passion, it brings collectors, creators, and longtime fans together to honor the past, spotlight fan projects, and remind Hasbro just how strong the demand is for classic-style figures and storytelling.
At its core, Operation: Recall is about keeping the spirit of G.I. Joe alive, one figure, one memory, and one fan at a time. For that, I’ll be forever grateful to Carson and everyone behind operation: Recall, as they’ve captured magic in a bottle.
The icing on the cake? I get to enjoy these new offerings with my kids and watch their excitement as they read file cards, look over upcoming figures and have backyard battles.
So, on that note, what are your thoughts on wave 2? I personally need them all NOW, especially those Midnight Force figures!! The sculpting, paint detail and accessories are all top notch. Wave 2 looks to set the bar high and I’m here for it!

Super excited for this line and wave 2 looks great. They really have captured the magic of discovering cool new Joes back in the day.

Agreed! Wave 2 has me all sorts of excited and you’re not kidding, the nostalgic feeling of waiting for that next wave of figures to show up is deep fried in 80s magic!
