TBT – 1992 G.I.Joe DEF Mutt Artwork, 2up, Test Shot and More

As it’s #tbt, I thought it would be a great time to take a look back at an amazing assortment of high end G.I.Joe offerings that were posted for auction on Hake’s Americana & Collectibles from the collection of Mr. Kevin Watts.

The extensive assortment of offerings related to the 1992 G.I.Joe Drug Elimination Force (DEF) Mutt and his companion, Junkyard. Mutt has always been one of my favorite characters, so in 1992 when he was released with a new sculpt, I was immediately in love.

The assortment that Kevin had up for grabs is, to say the least, thorough. The collection included:

You’ll be hard pressed to find a more extensive ’92 D.E.F. Mutt Collection than what is represented here. I’m thankful that items like this have been cataloged so that future generations of G.I.Joe fans have a reference to fall back on.

I’ll also have love for latter-year ARAH offerings. I know that they’re not for everyone, but for me, they were most certainly fun!
