Moondancer, a figure initially known as Short-Fuze from G.I.Joe, was released as part of the Action Force line from Palitoy in the UK. Although many G.I.Joe items found their way into Action Force, most reverted back to their “Stateside names”…but alas, Moondancer did not. Check out a brief snippet from the review below –

The best way to describe Moondancer (and Dolphin, as well), would be “Short Fuze cast in the same grey as the Stinger Driver”. Action Force figures were produced in likely the same Hong Kong factories as the Hasbro G.I. Joe figures, so the colour of the plastic is exactly the same. The paint masks used for Moondancer are the same as the Short Fuze ones, just with fewer different colours used, rather than silver, black and brown, they’re all black.
It’s not a particularly exciting repaint, but in comparison to a lot of the exclusive repaints released throughout the world, Moondancer is probably the one that fits into a G.I. Joe collection with the fewest questions asked. Some of that is due to the equal quality to a vintage Hasbro figure, but where Moondancer stands apart from the earlier Action Force repaints, is that his colours and paint masks are shared with Hasbro figures. There’s a “same-ness” to the figure, that extends even to his accessories. While the helmet, and backpack are technically never before seen, the Mortar and stand that were included with the figure are the same as the Battle Gear Accessory Pack #2 release.
Still, there’s a draw to Moondancer. He’s a clean figure, who is so unspectacular, that he becomes spectacular. The 82-83 G.I. Joe molds are really well designed, however they blend together, so Moondancer showcases how good the Short Fuze mold truly was, without it being the same colour as five other figures, or carrying the baggage the 1997 Stars & Stripes figure had.
