Saturday Morning Cartoons – Galaxy Rangers

It’s that time, my friends! You know what to do, so let’s get to it!

This week, we’re checking out another cult classic, Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers! From the Galaxy Rangers Wiki –

The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers is an American animated space Westerntelevision series created by Robert Mandell and produced by Transcom Media, Inc. and Gaylord Entertainment Company.[1] It was broadcast in syndication between 1986 and 1989.[2] The series combines sci-fi stories with traditional wild west themes. It is one of the first anime-style shows produced mainly in the United States, although the actual animation was done by the Japanese animation studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha. At the time it aired, The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers was considered a revolutionary children’s show.[3]

Talk about a blast from the past! I absolutely love digging in the crates to find these old cartoons. I hope you enjoy watching them with us!

Unbelievable timing. I JUST watched the pilot episode 2 days ago. Marveled at how this show evaded my radar back in the golden days and we’d never seen it.

This show was clearly one of those that had more quality and depth than it had any business having.

In that case, I’m glad that the universe pointed you towards this article!

This most definitely was one of those 80s shows that was 1) clearly ahead of it’s time and 2) deserves a revisit, as I would absolutely love to see this series reborn, via cartoons, toys, whatever.
