We’re kicking off the week with a drop down to the Battlegrounds, as Bobby Bee has received his copy of Fans Hobby’s Air Eagle VE-01 over the weekend and has shared a review. What’s his take on the highly anticipated “not Sky Hawk”? Check it out –

A quick look at the Fans Hobby Air Eagle VE-01 1/12 scale vehicle, similar to a GIJoe Sky Hawk

In his review, Bobby references a screwdriver, but isn’t sure what it was for. A subsequent video was then shared (a “short”), highlighting the Air Eagle’s conversion into something…well, a bit more G.I.Joe-centric –

It looks pretty sweet and a heck of a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be! We first got word of the Air Eagle back in April of last year (2024), with initial images giving way to an apparent C&D from Hasbro, which lead to a design “tweak” to the vehicle. Here’s a timeline for those interested, concluding with a full gallery of shared promo images, wrapping up with packaging shots –

Thanks as always go to Bee’s Battlegrounds. Will you be adding the Air Eagle to your collection, or will you instead be waiting for an official Hasbro release?

For those that have added one to their air force, what are your thoughts? Share’em in the comments below!
