Although I don’t collect much in terms of Classified, Raphael “Zap” Melendez is one of the original G.I. Joes that most definitely will find his way on my shelf.

I’ve always loved that Zap was the kind of guy who doesn’t say much, but you’re glad he’s on your side when things go loud. A proud Puerto Rican from the Bronx, Zap brings grit, loyalty, and no-nonsense firepower to every mission as the team’s missile infantry specialist. He’s steady under pressure, deeply dependable, and carries his heritage with quiet pride. Zap isn’t flashy, he’s solid, and that’s exactly why he’s essential.
