What a way to start of the first week of a new year! TMNT afficionado @msmithtmnt reached out with some pretty exciting news on a new crossover line set to hit mainline China this coming April. That crossover line?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x G.I.Joe! COWABUNGA!!
A collection of images were shared showcasing what appears to be the first couple of waves of the line. Now, with that said, things change quickly, so please take as rumor until further details emerge.
If you would’ve told me a few years ago that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and G.I. Joe would someday share the same toy aisle—let alone the same action figure line—I probably would’ve laughed it off as wishful fan fiction. And yet… here we are.
Now, on to the show!
Figures: The first figures revealed in the line give us some fun renditions of characters, including –
- Snake Eyes Leo
- Roadblock Raph
- Shipwreck Mikey
- Dial-Tone Donny
- Destro Krang
- Cobra Commander Shredder
- Dreadnoks Ripper Bebop & Buzzer Rocksteady
Vehicles are also present, but hey, what G.I.Joe or TMNT line would be complete without a vehicle or two, amirite?
In the figure image, you can see a vehicle cut off on the bottom, right hand corner of the screen. I wonder what that is?

The reveal of a TMNT x G.I. Joe crossover line feels like one of those “pinch me” moments that only happens when the right people are in charge and fully understand the power of nostalgia. This isn’t just a mashup for the sake of novelty—it’s a love letter to two franchises that defined Saturday mornings, toy chests, and imaginations for generations.
On one side, you’ve got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—wisecracking, pizza-loving, sewer-dwelling ninjas who taught us that teamwork and family mattered, even if you were raised by a rat. On the other, G.I. Joe, the ultimate embodiment of disciplined heroism, high-stakes missions, and a never-ending battle against Cobra. Seeing these worlds collide feels surprisingly natural. After all, ninjas and commandos aren’t that far apart.
What really makes this reveal exciting is how much storytelling potential it opens up.
