It’s the final countdown for the G.I.Joe Classified Series Snow C.A.T. HasLab campaign, with just 1 day, 13+ hours left as of the time of this post.
Whereas other campaigns secured funding and hit all tiers, this campaign appears to be struggling a bit, as it has only reached 9,509 backers. What does that mean? It means that although the vehicle and Frostbite, its driver have been funded, all additional tiers (Arctic Lady Jaye & Flint, Bivouac) have not yet been funded and will not move to production until they do.
Hasbro sent out the following notice to G.I.Joe fans. Check it out –

What say you, ‘Port faithful? Are you backing the CAT? I myself am not. Although I’ve backed all 3 campaigns up to this point, the Snow C.A.T. just doesn’t do it for me for a few reasons –
Snow CATTED out – We’ve received all sorts of Snow CAT offerings over the last decade or two, from repaints in Spy Troops, to alternate vehicle uses like the Basilisk to even reimagining like the HAVOC MkII. To me, HasLab campaigns should be for dream projects. The Snow C.A.T. is something that could’ve been stripped of it’s electronics and offered as a Pulse exclusive. Let’s call it what it is – Hasbro doesn’t want to risk it and fans are more than happy to give a corporation an interest-free loan, so why not, amirite?
Weak Tiers – I was very fortunate and was able to take part in the round table discussions where the Snow C.A.T. and other vehicles were floated as the next possible HasLab project. Due to an NDA agreement, I’m sure I can’t say much, but what I can/will say is that these tiers differ from what was discussed.
I’m all for world building, but at this price point, I do not want another Lady Jaye or Flint, nor do I want *checks notes* breakfast treats.
Plus, the Bivouac, really? Who thought sitting in the arctic winds behind a government issued tarp was a good idea? Plus, knowing that we will eventually get the Bivouac in green, since fans are paying for the molds, will backers get a discount on future releases? Yeah, I know, silly me, that’s not how any of this works. Hey, at least it’s not a set of patches.
On that note, best of luck to all backers, I truly hope that international numbers reflect all tiers being unlocked.
