In November of last year, Fans Hobby shared their first prototype images of the upcoming VE-02.
Fast forward to mid-April, where Fans Hobby has peppered their social media pages with all sorts of updates on, alongside new images of, the VE-02. I’ve rounded them up here for your viewing pleasure. Check it out –

VE-02 update – Check out the proportion adjustments made in VE-02!
The updates began around the 17th, with the first new image giving us a look at the proportion adjustments made. I really like the updated look!

Next up, Fans Hobby shared a video showcasing the VE-02’s motorized blades & lighting capabilities. (You’ll need to click through above to see the video directly).

VE-02 updated coloured prototype – It’s in shadow operation colour scheme.
Up next? New images of the VE-02 in its “Shadow Operation” color scheme. This grouping not only shows off the new paint scheme, but the light functions as well.

VE-02 updated coloured prototype (with Canopy installed) – It’s in shadow operation colour scheme.
The last update, shared today, gives us a look at the VE-02’s full load out with the canopy installed. The design and colors really help differentiate the cockpit of the VE-02 from the VE-01.
Now, for those asking “when can I preorder it?”, unfortunately, due to the tariff scenario currently in play, Fans Hobby is holding off until May on accepting any U.S. orders –

Fingers crossed that ordering can continue in May, as there’s not only the VE-02 on the horizon, but the VE-03 as well.
That’s a wrap, folks. Will you be adding the VE-03 to your 1:12 collection? I’ve got to say, the lights, sounds and overall look really have me interested. Now, granted, I say that about a lot of things, so I’m probably just blowing smoke here as well, but I’ll reserve judgement until it finally ships.
