#ICYMI – Last week, Carson shared word of an update fresh out of the oven and ready for consumption! Here, we get the scoop on packaging, figure stands & sculpts, paint masters and more. Check it out –

Operation: Recall Army!
The last update featured a 22 minute video walking through figure development: including the first two factory prototypes and 3D sculpt revisions of the next two figures, the A.T.L.A.S. and Orthrus logos (by Ron Rudat), our all-new figure stands, and the latest paint masters. Please have a look when you can.
Since creating that video, we’ve revised the figures stands and completed the first draft of the wave 1 packaging!

Operation: Recall is all about celebrating the Legendary Creators Back on Active Duty. To that end, we are including detailed figure-specific credits on every cardback that name every creator involved in the process of crafting these figures.
We took inspiration from the 1984-1985 DC Super Powers cardbacks and decided to include a trading card on each package! When you cut out these trading cards (following the outline on the back), you’ll have a full view of Doug Hart‘s uncut, unadorned card art on one side, and a close up of the same art on the other.
Of course, you’ll also want to clip and save the file cards! Every file card was written by Larry Hama, of G.I.JOE: A Real American Hero fame, and one of the most prolific comic book creators of our time.
Every figure will include a figure stand that doubles as a cardback / file card / or trading card display!

These figure stands feature two pegs, a raised A.T.L.A.S. or Orthrus logo, and rear display slots. Here’s a look at the A.T.L.A.S. stand compared to a 1990s stand.

Of course, these stands will work with ALL of your favorite modern o-ring figures!

Callsign: Longbow GHOST, Delta-17 Okami Elite Sentry, and Red Shadows WOLF TROOPER.
While we’ve been working on the stands and packaging, Scott Andrews at Lightbeam3D has been working on more resin copies. He just wrapped up casting Mike Good‘s Damselfly and I personally think she’s the best o-ring style female sculpt I’ve ever seen.

NOTE: her head, as with all of Mike’s heads, will be scaled down 10-15% once scanned at the factory.
Next up for Scott will be Mike Good‘s Snakeheads sculpt. He’s looking amazing. I love the webbed hands and the removable panel that reveals his molded in place scuba ringer pistol with two mini harpoons.

NOTE: his head, as with all of Mike’s heads, will be scaled down 10-15% once scanned at the factory.
Of course, once these figures are cast in resin, we make three sets of copies: (1) paintmaster that goes to the factory and serves as a guide for the paint apps, (1) blank that’s scanned by the factory, and (1) paintmaster that we use to create the paintmaster scalemasters shown on the Operation: Recall Roll Call page. We also bring these paintmasters to shows. Come see them!

Here’s a look at Ray Murphy‘s two latest paintmasters: SHHHH and Clanker & Tank!

NOTE: his hood and cloak will likely change to soft goods at the factory.

NOTE: his head, as with all of Mike’s heads, will be scaled down 10-15% once scanned at the factory (this includes shortening the neck).
Of course, while we are working on executing on Year One, Mark Pennington and Ron Rudat are already at work on Year Two figures!

As always, If you want more granular and frequent updates, and you want to see many more photos than the highlights shown here, please give the Operation: Recall social media channels a follow!
Thank you ALL for your support and your patience as we bring these figures to life!
