Before I get into the recap this week, I would like to take a moment to celebrate the life of a good man that was lost too soon, Mr. Aaron Detrick. Aaron owned and operated Roma Collectibles alongside his wife, Sara and was a staple in the community.
I met Aaron over 20 years ago online, as we both loved G.I.Joe (of course). Years later, I would have the good fortune to meet Aaron in person when I moved to Florida and had the opportunity to hang out with him over a buddy’s house. His smile was infectious and he was always ready for a good chat on just about anything.
When I first learned of Aaron’s cancer diagnosis, I reached out with words of encouragement, never thinking of this outcome. Cancer isn’t fair.
Aaron leaves behind an amazing wife, Sara and a wonderful family that many of us have grown to love without knowing them personally. That’s just the kind of folks Aaron and his kin are.
You were an amazing guy and I’m a better man for having known you, Aaron. May you rest in eternal peace.
For those reading, if you’re able, a gofundme has been set up to help Aaron’s wife and family with expenses. You can chip in here: http://gofundme.com/f/support-aarons-family-after-cancer-battle

I’ve decided to continue the recap in honor of Aaron, so we can talk toys like we always did in the past. Here’s the scoop –
