There’s some sad news to share. Word was received today that Ms. Morgan Lofting, also known as the Baroness in G.I.Joe A Real American Hero, has passed away.
Known by many as the voice behind iconic characters such as Firestar and Moonracer in Transformers, Aunt May and Black cat in Spider-Man and of course, Anastasia DeCobray in G.I.Joe, she was a remarkable talent in the world of voice acting, with Morgan’s impact extending far beyond the roles she brought to life.
Morgan’s voice was her gift to the world, and she wielded it with both power and grace. Many of us will always remember her as the commanding and unforgettable Baroness from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. Through her performances, she gave us characters with depth, intelligence, and fire. But Morgan was more than her roles; she was a storyteller, an artist who connected with people in a way that transcended screens and microphones.
Her artistry was matched only by her kindness. Morgan’s colleagues often spoke of her generosity, her warm encouragement, and her willingness to uplift those around her. She was not just a professional but a mentor and a friend who made every room she entered brighter.
There’s so many stories of Morgan “geeking out” with Baroness cosplayers at shows, or treating each fan like family. She was truly a class act.
