NYCC 2024 – G.I.Joe Classified Series Reveal Recap

New York Comic Con 2024 is in full swing and already has fans across the community experiencing a roll coaster of emotions – First, word of unexpected shifts in production was shared, noting that most of their 2025 assortment will be delayed. Thankfully, things switched gears quickly, as a collection of new G.I.Joe Classified Series offerings were revealed.

Hi-res images of render reveals shared throughout Hasbro’s G.I.Joe presentation have been made available by Hasbro team members like thegreattonino. I’ve re-capped the presentation for your viewing pleasure, check out the details below –

As previously revealed, the M.A.S.S. device will be playing a role in the 2025 Classified lineup. We got to check out our first render reveal of the line, featuring Commando Snake Eyes, complete with radiation and one KICK-ASS Polar Bear!

That is f**king AWESOME. I most definitely need a 1:12 scale Polar Bear in my collection, are you kidding me?!

Pedro Pascal has joined the G.I.Joe team! No, wait, it’s Footloose, everyone’s favorite laid back infantryman! I know we’re JUST now seeing Footloose, but I already can’t wait for his Marauders version!

The next up was quite a nice surprise, as it introduces playsets to the Classified range. Check out the Cobra Bunker with..Trench Viper? Call him what you want, but that’s an Alley Viper. Period.

What’s interesting is we recently saw a similar design from Gridiron Studio, so it’s fun to see it here as well.

The G.I.Joe Classifies Series Legacy Firefighter, from their new Legacy collection, took center stage as the first release from the new subcollection. These are made in the same style/spirit as the 60th Anniversary line, so I’m sure we can expect even more awesome offerings with a ton of gear in the future.

Next up came our look at the next wave of Retro offerings, that will be up for preorder next Tuesday, October 22nd. The wave consists of:

Retro Cobra Viper – A shame that the face plate isn’t chrome, but a sharp homage nonetheless.

Retro Dr. Mindbender – Fans who missed out on the Con release can now get their hands on the Dr., sans shoulder stains and with a kick ass shiny logo on his cape!

Retro Rock n Roll – I know that there are plenty of folks that want to complete their OG13 run, but I’m going to on the record saying that I prefer the updated release over this one, although this one is still kick ass, of course.
