It’s time for another weekly recap of all the posts that were shared this past week right here on the ‘Port!

Wow, what an absolute BEAST of a week it was! With San Diego Comic-Con as the backdrop, there was SO MUCH for fans of the G.I.Joe franchise, from toys to Halloween schwag and yes, even patches! You ready? I’m ready! Let’s get to it!

Monday, July 22, 2024

The week kicked off with a look at another upcoming HIYA reveal, this time of their Exquisite Mini Series Cobra Crimson Guard offering. Next up, Super7 revealed their Target exclusive DiC inspired Lady Jaye ReAction figure.

On Tuesday, I took a look back at my review of the Fresh Monkey Fiction Larry Hama 1:18 scale action figure. Then, Josh Blaylock shared word that Devil’s Due and Massive are dropping a new book titled “The Disavowed” that will undoubtedly appeal to G.I.Joe fans everywhere. Wrapping the day was an update from the folks at Trick or Treat Studios, giving us a look at their G.I.Joe inspired Halloween 2024 offerings, including masks and candy pails.

Wednesday, July 24, 2024

On Wednesday, we got a few teases of things to come, with Sgt. Slaughter taking to Twitter to tease an upcoming drop at SDCC. Another SDCC-centric tease was a HasLab poster of Destro promising “Peace through Power”. Last, but most certainly not least, Gabriel Luque shared his design work for the Crimson Guard from Hiya’s G.I.Joe exquisite mini series.

Thursday, July 25, 2024

San Diego Comic-Con 2024 kicked off on Thursday, with the G.I.Joe panel taking place that evening. There was something for everyone, with reveals for both G.I.Joe Classified Series and o-ring collectors alike.

Attendees at the event picked up their “Once a Man” Cobra Commander, whose listing briefly appeared and was subsequently hidden from view on Hasbro Pulse. Earlier that morning at Hasbro’s invitee-only brand breakfast, G.I.Joe fans were treated with a look at the Pulse Con 2024 exclusive, Starduster. As the evening rolled in, the Cobra Rattler HasLab campaign went live, followed by the Classified panel that brought us word upcoming 1:12 offerings. Sgt. Slaughter made a guest appearance, sharing word (finally!) of the Transformers x G.I.Joe Triple T crossover.

Friday, July 26, 2024

On Friday, official preorder links and details were made available for some of the G.I.Joe Classified Series offerings revealed the night before. O-ring fans were in for a treat too, as official product photography for the Sgt. Slaughter Triple T set was shared. Fun fact – Photoshop failed us all on one of the pics, make sure to take a look! 🙂 Then, as the prophecy foretold, the HasLab Cobra Rattler hit its initial funding goal, doing so in roughly 21 hours – Faster than the Dragonfly, but nearly 3 times as long as the H.I.S.S.

Saturday, July 27, 2024

Saturday kicked off with a good ole fashioned dose of cartoons, where we checked out the fan favorite Dino Riders series. Later in the day, we received word that the Rattler HasLab was moving right along, having unlocked its first tier, a set of aviator patches that has caused an absurd amount of angst across the 1:12 G.I.Joe collecting community.

Sunday, July 28, 2024

Sunday wraps up San Diego Comic-Con and a week chock full of awesome stuff for fans across many different fandoms. There was SO MUCH AWESOME to take in at SDCC, from movie news to toys, comics and collectibles…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this week as much as I have! To give you an idea of how much I did, I posted 3x as much this week as I normally do! (I typically average about an article a day, with this week averaging roughly 3 a day, woo hoo!) That just means that there was a lot of G.I.Joe related material to digest, which is a win for our community, amirite?!

On that note, my friends, thank you as always for spending some of your time here on the ‘Port. Your patronage is beyond appreciated! I hope you have a fantastic #cobrasunday and wish you a great week ahead! See you all tomorrow!
