It’s been roughly six months since I first shared word of G. I. Joe Facing Down Cobra Once Again in G.I.Joe: Wrath of Cobra
Over the weekend, IGN shared the trailer for the highly anticipated side-scrolling video game! It’s been a long time since our last taste, so let’s check it out –
See classic G.I. Joe heroes in action, gameplay, and iconic villains in this latest trailer for G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra, an upcoming retro side-scrolling beat ’em up game coming to Nintendo Switch and PC.
Yo Joe! Cobra returns once again with its most fiendish plot yet and it’s up to G.I. JOE to defeat them once more! Pick one of the real American heroes, gear up, and get straight into the fight in this retro side-scrolling beat ’em up – and make Cobra RETREAT yet again!
The upcoming beat ’em up, which mixes Shredder’s Revenge’s with the classic cartoon, will feature a host of familiar faces, including fan-favorites like Snake Eyes. It will also include recognizable vehicles like Cobra’s HISS Tank, which appear in the trailer.
G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra was first announced back in August 2023 and received a brief gameplay trailer in November. Maple Powered Games previously worked on Monster Harvest, a Stardew Valley-like game about monster collecting and farming.
G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra does not yet have a release date, but it’s expected to be out in 2024. I’ll be sure to bring you more details once it drops!
