Delta-17 Shares Word Of Unforeseen Release Delay

Heads up! The Delta-17 team has shared word of an unfortunate delay in the release of their highly anticipated line of 3.75″ action figures. No worries though, it’s just a small hiccup and should only take about a month or so. Here’s the scoop –

UPDATE. All callsigns, all callsigns. Sitrep to follow…

We’ve been a bit quiet here at D17 HQ.

It seems that the CPSC (Consumers Product Soviet Communists) have deemed that Delta-17 toys are designed specifically for children and not for adult collectors. So, we now have to pause and undergo laboratory testing to prove that our toys do not contain lead or other toxins in them. This delay will set us back another 4 weeks or so until we can open the store and sell our products in the US.

We are very sorry for the delay and hope that no one gets too ticked.

As a way of apology, we will be offering 10% off of all orders of 6 figures or more for the first few months.

Again, we’re deeply sorry for the delay and hope that we can make it up to you all in the near future!

The war in the shadows will commence momentarily!

Thanks so much!

D17.

Talk about a frustrating scenario for the D17 team. It’s really top shelf of them to offer 10% off the purchase of 6 figures or more; As there are 12 in the initial lineup, that’s going to provide quite the cost savings to collectors which will undoubtedly result in more sales for D17 either at the time of purchase or in the future, so this delay is a bit of a win/win for all involved from a certain perspective. 🙂

Stay tuned, I’ll bring you more from the Delta 17 team as it’s made available!

Same, but what a bummer. To have that kind of certification required at the back end of your process rather than the front must be a real P.I.T.A.

Good, I’m not a kid, but I still don’t want that shit on anything I bring into my home

Agreed. I think the real kicker here is that as far as I am aware, the figures were already tested. They were subsequently labeled a children’s toy rather than an adult collectible, so had to go through the testing process again. Sucks and all, but to your point, I’m sure the D17 team would agree that it’s better to be safe than sorry.
