A new update has been shared by Operation: Recall, giving us a look at the wave 1 package art created by Mr. Doug Hart! Check it out –

These rough drafts will be revised as needed, and composited with explosion backgrounds and packaging logos and typography just like they did back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, just after the advent of desktop publishing.
Figures designed by Ron A. Rudat and Mark Pennington, with direction from Kirk Bozigian. Accessories modeled by Mark 2 Toys. Direction and project management by Carson Mataxis.

I know many would agree that card art is just as important as the figure itself. For many of us, it’s what we would stare at for what felt like hours while in the toy store, or perhaps for literal hours at home. Hell, I still do it now, who am I kidding?
I love the look of each of the characters, as although they’re familiar in style (obv), they’re all new characters that we’ve never seen before. I mean, c’mon, a Luchador? HECK YEAH!
