Wow, check out this piece of awesome! If you’ve been following Dan Klingensmith’s “Creating G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero vol. 13” campaign, then you know he was also serving up a pair of card backs for figures that were to be released as part of Night Force, but were never released.
We first got to check out the card back for Night Force Low-Light and Blaster, following by artwork for Night Force Rumbler!
Although the card back for the latter and his card-mate didn’t unlock during the campaign, the great news here is that Dan is offering the card back to backers of the vol. 13 campaign! Here’s the scoop –

Unproduced Night Force Back-Stop and Rumbler Card Back
At this time, this is only available to Backers* of the Campaign that just ended for Volume 13 on Kickstarter. Be sure to enter “13” in the PromoCode section of the checkout to remove the shipping. This PromoCode can only be used for this cardback!
As I have teased out on social media and via the latest Kickstarter, there were 4 other characters slotted for the Night Force Subgroup in 1988! Unfortunately, the 2nd stretch goal was not met for this card back on the most recent campaign. After a positive response and the fact that this card is just too awesome not to be produced, a limited quantity will be produced! As shared in the Kickstarter, I teamed up with Adam Riches who created this figure art by hand and painted traditionally as they would have in the past!
For a limited time, this card back is available to the backers of the Kickstarter campaign for Volume 13 for $15.00ea (1 per each Volume 13 purchased via Kickstarter). If purchased prior to 10/27/23**, I will include this card back with Volume 13 and the card back of Low-Light and Blaster that was met via the first stretch goal.
*To ensure that these are initially going into the hands of Backers of the most recent campaign, I will be cross referencing email addresses.
**After 10/27/23, this card back and some of the remaining of Low-Light and Blaster card backs will be available to the public. The cost will increase and shipping won’t be included….so don’t miss out!!!
What an amazing piece of G.I.Joe history! Adam Riches did an absolutely stellar job on these and I cannot wait to have them in hand!
Did you get in on Vol. 13? Will you be adding this cardback to your collection? Sound off!
