Well this surely is…something!
In news that will surely divide the fandom, BigBadToyStore has shared word that they have the HasLab exclusive G.I.Joe Skystriker available on the site, with ALL add-ons, for $299. Yeah, you read that right. The Skystriker, a fan-funded product, is now available for purchase directly from BBTS.
Now of course, this stock may just be the remains of Hasbro’s initial order, including product that was set aside to supplement QC issues/customer replacement requests…but still. Here’s the scoop from BBTS:

The cockpit isn’t the only feature to get an update. There are all new functioning landing levers, one for landing gear and one for wings, swappable black tail fins to match the packaging art, a useable tow hook, and multiple options for dog bone pins to customize weapon load out. The sculptural integrity is miles ahead of previous Skystriker This combat jet is made to last.

I’m happy that those who may have missed this piece will now be able to get if (if possible), especially with the fact that o-ring is on hiatus, limiting the chance of adding new product to our collections.
That said, I’m also of the mindset that if BBTS is going to offer HasLab product later down the line, then maybe I don’t have to give a Corporation an interest-free loan. I’ll make that decision if the H.I.S.S. and Dragonfly ever hit the site.

Naah, one is enough for me. I’m not making big deal of this. If it allows people who missed out to get it, I’m all for it (don’t forget that a lot of international fans were not able to back the Haslab project, whereas BBTS ships internationally at affordable rates). In my case, the Haslab project was more interesting as purchasing it from BBTS, would result in additional shipping, VAT and customs fees.

I agree. I’m happy that those that may want one have the chance to add one to their collection.
I’m also a bit spent on everything being a preorder anymore, so hopefully we’re able to find a happy middle ground here at retail one day sooner than later.
