Ok, fair enough, SDCC didn’t kick off until Wednesday. With that said, Tuesday brought us our first look at SDCC exclusives, namely in the form of Acid Rain offerings. We were then treated to another pair of reveals from the folks at threezero, who showed off teaser images of their figzero 1/6 Destro & Cobra Commander, with confirmation that both would debut at the Con later in the week.

Wednesday was finally here! Wednesday brought us Preview night at SDCC; Before we made it there though, Diamond Select Toys and Super7 were sending us off with a bang, as DST revealed an amazing Joseph Colton PVC Dio and Super7 dropped preorders for their 5th wave of Ultimates! There’s a shogun style SNAKE armor! Whaaaat?!

Preview night came in swinging, as we got to check out our first new figures – Tiger Force Flint and the Python Patrol ninja! There was also a very cool display of 2ups from Hasbro’s G.I.Joe vault.

Here. We. GO!

Thursday brought us our first full day on the showroom floor, with our first stop landing us at the Mezco Toyz booth, where their One:12 Collective G.I.Joe offerings were on display. Included in the lineup was our first look at their upcoming Duke figure!

Alongside these awesome new offerings was Hasbro’s booth full of G.I.Joe Classified series samples. Now, keep in mind, a lot of what was on display was known and/or current offerings:

Also on display were BOTH G.I.Joe HasLab projects, the Dragonfly XH-1 and the Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank! No figures shown with the HISS, but those will probably be brought out once we get a look at the Cobra Fire Team. The killer banner of the Cobra Fire Team was used as a backdrop at the G.I.Joe Classified Series booth. In it, we can see that a Range Viper will be a part of the team, but we also get a look at another new reveal, Techno-Viper!

Things wrapped up with an upclose look at the Cobra Fire Team. Wow! I can’t wait for that Range Viper!

Friday brought us official product photography of the the Cobra Fire Team 788, the SDCC Exclusive Chuckles set and the HasLab H.I.S.S. Tank! Classified wasn’t the only news on the front, as nothing can stop the great news coming out of the Operation: Recall camp, not even San Diego Comic-Con!

Carson has shared a new update via the O:R Kickstarter page, giving us word on the approved color studies that will be moving forward!

The day we’ve been waiting for, Saturday! The G.I.Joe Classified Series Panel kicked off on Saturday afternoon and with it, came a ton of reveals! Many of these had been named through the year, with others being an awesome surprise!

We started things off with our weekly dose of cartoons – This week, we checked out Defenders of the Earth! Fast forward to the panel and the reveals! Many thanks to FwooshVeebs for livestreaming the event! Here was the breakdown of the panel –

Next came an assortment of digital renders and friends, take a load of this lineup!

The Python Patrol figures were a no-brainer, considering their solid color counterparts already exist. It’s great to see the rest of this lineup finally, as it aligns with many of the characters that were initially displayed on the gijoe.com website.

What’s also pretty interesting (and I may be overthinking it) is the fact that both Buzzer and Ripper do not have “Dreadnok” in front of their names. Maybe Hasbro has the rights to both names again? I digress…

The Crimson Strike Team looks great as well and will be available at PulseCon later this year. Up next, talk about awesome surprises! Up for pre-order on Saturday alongside the Cobra Fire Team 788 set was none other than Tripwire! He looks absolutely fantastic and has a killer loadout! As he’s went up for preorder that day, official product photography was shared later that night.

Steel Corps Troopers will be dropping on Monday, July 24th and will be a fan channel exclusive, so get ready to get your fill! Finally, a trifecta of surprise reveals – 2 Digital and one physical: The VAMP with Cluch, SMS with Techno Viper and Mutt & Junkyard!

Shortly after the panel, we were treated to official product photography of the Steel Corps Troopers alongside the surprise pre-order reveal for the day, Tripwire.

Rick Lopez aka DoomDazed came through with an assortment of Crimson Strike team images for us to check out and finally, Tony, better known as thegreattonino, began sharing digital renders from the panel with his social media followers. First up were the Dreadnoks Ripper & Buzzer and man, they look GREAT.

Capping off the day today was more from thegreattonino, as he shared all remaining digital renders over the night and into the morning. Earlier this morning we were also treated to digital renders of Techno Viper and the SMS, alongside Clutch and the VAMP. Needless to say, both are bought on sight!

I have to give an honorable mention to Bill and FreshMonkeyFiction. We got our first look at their Operation Monster Force season 2 Sleepwalker figure and wow, is it cool or what? Check it out –
