The Parachute Drop at GIJoeCon 2018 has taken place, where fans gathered in the parking lot of the Convention Hotel to try and catch a Python Patrol Para-Viper Officer as he sails through the skies down to the waiting open hands below. As you can see from this image shared by Rick, aka shatrdglassjazz on Instagram, the crowd as huge!
The parachute drop has become a staple at GIJoeCon, as you can see from this video shared on Facebook by The Coil Con –
On a related note, word is coming in that many adult collectors basically trampled kids in order to get Parachute Drop figures, to the point that some had multiples in their hands while refusing to give any to the kids in attendance. Shameful, to say the least, but not the first time this has happened.
If you come across someone selling a Parachute figure without accessories, please, don’t buy it.
